The annual feast for the glory of St. Francis Xavier, was celebrated with pomp and gaiety on 3rd Dec, 2006 at Saverapura Chapel. The Chapel was marvelously decorated for the occasion by the Parishioners of St. Antony & Christ the King Wards.

At 10.00 AM, the Chapel Benefactors, Patrons and Parishioners were honored with sacred candles. All the Parishioners and guests came together to celebrate the solemn festive at 10.30 AM. Rev. Fr. Franklin D’Souza, Director-Catholic Charismatic Services and ICYM, YCS/YSM of Shimoga Diocese was the main celebrant along with the Parish Priest, Fr. Norbert Lobo and Rev. Fr. Jude Menezes, CSSR, Redemptorist, of Nithyadhar Nivas, Alangar. Fr. Franklin in his homily beautifully narrated the life style of St. Francis Xavier and how he discovered and followed Jesus Christ. The Church choir with their melodious hymns added devotion to the mass. St. Antony ward leader Mr. Wilson D’Souza conducted and played music for the mass assisted by Br. Nelson Pais. Fr. Norbert Lobo thanked all the Parishioners for their whole-hearted support for the success of the entire event. Christ the King ward leader Mr. Vincent Culaco, Sr. Suma & Sr. Joseena of Paladka Convent were also present.
