Paladka, July 7, 2008 : Books donated by Old students and wellwishers from Dubai were distributed to poor children at St. Ignatius Hr. Primary School, Paladka on June 20, 2008.

The fuction was arranged in the church hall. The new school correspondent and Parish Priest of Paladka Church, Rev. Fr. Stany Rodrigues; Panchayat member and School Betterment Committee member Mr. Alwyn D’Souza and the staff, students and their parents were present on the occasion.

School children invoked God’s blessings by singing a prayer song. A short introduction of the school was given by the school headmaster Mr. M. Devadas Hegde. Books were distributed by Fr. Stany Rodrigues and Mr. Alwyn D’Souza. The hard work of the donors was reflected on the smiley faces of the little children.

School correspondent in his speech thanked the old students of the school and well wishers from Dubai, for contributing Rs. 18,550/- and blessed them. He also advised the children to make good use of those books.
