March 8, 2009 : Womens’ Association of Paladka Parish celebrated “Womens’ Day” on Sunday the 8th March, 2009. They offered the thanks giving mass to the Almighty celebrated by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Stany Rodrigues.

A stage programme was conducted thereafter at the Church Hall at 10.00 AM . Rev. Fr. Stany Rodrigues, Parish Priest presided over the programme whereas Upadhyaksh of the Parish Parisahd Sri Vincent Sequeira and Secretary Sri Denis D’Mello along with Resource Person Sr.Evelyn Bennis and Smt. Dorine Sequeira, President of the Association shared the Dias.

The programme commenced with a prayer rendered by Kum. Prafulla Sequeira and Kum. Savitha Sequeira followed by a bharathanatyam by Kum. Twisha D’Souza. The President of the Association Smt. Dorine Sequeira welcomed the gathering and Smt. Lilly Sequeira, Secretary read out the annual report of activities undertaken by the Association.

Sr. Evelyne Bennis, Rev. Fr. Stany Rodrigues and Sri Vincent Sequeira spoke on the importance and need of conducting Womens’ Day celebrations. The leading women of Paladka Parish were honoured on the occasion.

A cultural programme was conducted soon after wherein small play was enacted by women of the association followed by games, songs for entertaining the participants.

Smt. Lydia D’Souza extended vote of thanks and Smt. Jacintha Sequeira compered the programme. Coffee/Tea and snacks were served to the participants at the commencement of the stage programme.
