The feast of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated at Paladka Parish with traditional gaiety and fervor. Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues blessed the fresh crop of rice corn after a brief introduction. Children offered the flowers to Virgin Mary. Then the devotees proceeded to the church in a disciplined procession singing Hymns and with school band.

Payasam with new corn was distributed to all the devotees. Sugar canes were distributed to all. Parishioners eagerly participated in the vegetable auction programme at the end. Peter Pais lead the auction programme with the assistance of Denis D’Mello and Vincent Pinto. SVP members distributed rice to needy people irrespective of religion.
