Happy women committee of centenary jubilee of Paladka church with the help of Samanvaya, Mangalore had arranged a free tailoring course at Paladka. The six months tailoring course which started on March 15th 2012 concluded on 23rd September 2012. A small programme to distribute certificates to the candidates was held at Paladka church premises.

The programme began with the cultural programme from the students of tailoring class.

Chief guest of the function Mr. Denis D’Mello, Ex. Secretary of the Parish and tailor by profession said that tailors have good future. In his 17 years of tailoring he never faced scarcity of business.

Director of Samanvaya, Rev. Dr Ronald Cutinha appreciated the work of Happy women committee and also the teacher of tailoring class. He said that tailoring class not only helps in getting training but also developing personality of the participants.

Parish priest Fr. Gilbert D’Souza presided the function and said that happy woman committee is organising several programmes to the benefit of women and all the programmes received good response from the women. He wished the students a better future.

Paladka parish secretary Victor D’Souza Kadandale, and tailoring teacher Sujatha were on the dais. Stevan D’Souza and Thirtha shared their experience of tailoring class. Convenor of the Happy women committee Jacintha Sequeira welcomed the guests and the audience. Jyothi D’Mello gave the introduction about the class. Helen Barboza proposed vote of thanks. Secretary Clotilda Miranda and Precilla D’Souza compered the programme.
