Teachers day was celebrated at Paladka church on 2nd September 2012. All teachers offered flowers to the Altar at the beginning of the mass at 8.00 am. After the mass newly promoted Principal of Government Pre University College, Mudarangadi Mr. Bernard Cardoza was felicitated by the Parish Priest. All the teachers of the Parish were wished Teachers day with flowers and mementoes.

A get together was organized in the hall for all teachers. The programme began with a prayer by Gracy D’souza. Convener of the Happy women committee Jecintha Sequeira welcomed the guests and gathering. Chief guest for the programme Mr. George Castelino spoke about the importance of teaching career and the responsibilities of teachers in the society.

Mabel D’Souza and Vincent Sequeira shared their experience as teachers. Bernard Cardoza in reply to his felicitation said that youth should be encouraged to take government jobs especially IAS and KAS.

Precilla D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. Treeza D’souza compered the programme.

Parish Priest Fr. Gilbert D’Souza, Sr. Superior of Convent Sr. Amala Vice president Mr. Andrew D’Souza, secretary Mr. Victor Kadandale, Jecintha Sequeira and Clotilda Miranda were on the dais. This programme was organized by the Centenary Jubilee Happy woman committee of the church.
