On this day, Holy Eucharistic Mass was offered by Rev. Fr. Ivan Rodrigues with the Parishoner Rev. Fr. Stany Pinto, S.J. in which around 250 people participated. The church bell fray foundation stone was blessed at the end of the Mass.

Soon after the Mass the kids of St. Ignatius Loyola Higher Primary School welcomed the gathering at the school ground with the brass band. Sr. Martina Fernandes, H.M., welcomed the guests.

The flag hoisting was done by the precious hands of the President, Vicar Rev. Fr. Ivan Rodrigues and a lovely colorful parade followed by the kids of the school.

The great donors of parish related projects Mr. and Mrs. Vijay Olga D’Sa, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Effie were the Chief guests, whereas Mr.Melwyn D’Souza the builder of English Medium School and the church renovation work was the guest along with Vice President and Secretary of Parish Pastoral Parishad.

The President in his speech appreciated the dedication and sacrifice of the school staff and children. The vice president congratulated the boys and girls kabaddi teams who won the shields in Hobali level and selected for the Taluk level already. He also felicitated Mr. Dolphy Aranha, the coach, who trained the children so well and worked hard for the fame of the school.

Mr. Vijay D’Sa and Mr. Alfred Sequeira remembered the days they studied in the same school and enjoyed the occasion they got to celebrate the Independence-2013 with us.

The new bus Moodbidri to Kateel (via Paladka-Kallamundkur) was blessed by Vicar and he also greeted well the owner Mr. Vinaya Divya D’Sa. The gathering was refreshed by sweets sponsored by Vinaya/Divya D’Sa and the three pairs of chief guests.

Miss Sangeetha proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs. Victoria Cardoza compered the programme.
