Patron St. Ignatius Loyola’s Feast was celebrated as ‘Tharikechem Fest’ with devotion by the parishioners on 31st July 2014.

Ex. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Gilbert D’Souza was the main celebrant for the holy mass and Fr. Rakesh, a Redemptorist Priest delivered a very good homily in which he told a story of love chain. He asked the parishioners to continue the love chain started during centenary celebrations of the Church. At the end, the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues thanked all those responsible for the success of the Feast as well as all church activities. Fr. Gilbert D’Souza was honoured for planning and beginning the centenary celebrations of the Church. Deacons Rev. Nelson Dheeraj Pais and Rev. Fredrick Pais were also felicitated. The Church choir helped the faithful for meaningful participation.

After the mass St. Ignatius Loyola English Medium School children presented a skit on St. Ignatius Loyola’s life. Vice President of Parish Pastoral Parishad Mr. Denis D’Mello, Secretary Mr.Vincent Pinto, Gurkars and leaders of committees were felicitated for their selfless service to the parish. Mr. Ashwan D’Souza celebrated his birthday by cutting the cake in the hall. Mr. Ashwan D’souza’s family donated ice creams to be served after the lunch. Lunch prepared by the volunteers of the Parish under the leadership of Mr. George Fernandes was served to all.
