Catechism day was celebrated at Paladka church on 6 March 2016. Eucharistic mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Vincent Coelho, of St. John’s P.U. College, Pangala.

After the mass a programme was arranged in the church hall. The programme began with a prayer dance. The secretary of Parish Pastoral Parishad Mr. Vincent Pinto welcomed the guests and the gathering. Secretary of Catechism Smt. Veena Pinto presented the annual report. There was cultural programme from the students. Jenifer D’Costa spoke on behalf of students. Smt. Sarita Rodrigues spoke as a parent as well as teacher. Students who secured highest marks in the catechism examination were felicitated. Prizes were also given for good maintenance of notes books and for regular attendance. Lydia D’Souza, Vidya Mascarenhas and Joyce Danthis read the list of prize winners.

Parish Priest Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues, Chief guest Fr. Vincent Coelho, Sr. Superior of Convent Sr. Amala, Vice president Mr. Denis D’mello, Secretary Mr. Vincent Pinto catechism convener Jecintha Sequeira and Secretary Veena pinto were on the dais.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Victoria Cardoza. Stevan Pinto and Princy Priya D’Souza compered the programme. Before the programme light refreshments were served.
