St. Ignatius English Medium School was inaugurated on 26th May 2013. During Eucharistic celebration, English Medium Committee was placed before The Blessed Sacrament. The model of the school was carried by Mr. Melwyn D’Souza, the convenor of the committee. We all prayed for the success of the school.

The inaugural program was started at 9:15 as schedule. Fr. Gilbert D’Souza parish priest was the president who inaugurated the school. Mr. Abhayachandra Jain, Minister of Youth and fisheries, unveiled the logo.

The guests of honour were Sr. Amala, Mr. Balachandra P Naya, Mr. Vasudeva P Nayak, Mr. Sathish Acharya, Mr. Melwyn D’Souza and Mr. Alfred Sequiera.

The various donors were felicitated with flowers. The whole program was organised by Mr. Denis D’Mello, former sec. of parish parishad council and Mr. Sylvester Crasta of St. Ignatius Ward.

Mr. Hilary D’Souza has worked generously to start the school. Mr. Melwyn D’Souza had taken up the leadership to renovate the building and was successful in giving a perfect shape to the School. Mrs Jacintha Sequiera and Mrs Ephi D’Souza worked a lot to train the staff.

Breakfast was served to all the gatherings after the program, which was prepared by the Food Committee.
