The renovated school building of St. Ignatius Loyola English Medium School was inaugurated and blessed on Sunday 30th June by V. Rev. Fr. Alfred Pinto parishioner of Paladka church, Rev. Fr. Ivan Rodrigues, vice president and secretary of PPP, provincial Sr. Kusum U.M., co-ordinator of school building committee Mr. Melwyn D’Souza and the parishioners.
A thanksgiving Eucharistic mass was celebrated on this occasion. Mr. Melwyn D’Souza was honoured and thanked in a special way. All the workers were also honoured during a short felicitation after the mass. The speakers appreciated the miraculous completion of the school building and wished all the success. The Parish priest in his speech gratefully acknowledged the sponsorship of two teachers by Mr. Alfred Sequeira and of one teacher by Mr. Henry D’Souza. He also thanked the donors, committee members, Parishioners who offered volunteer service during renovation work.
The Vice President welcomed the gathering; Secretary Victor D’Souza proposed vote of thanks and Mrs. Jacintha Sequeira compered the programme.
